At 9.10am on Monday 25th January 2016, Harlow Fields pupils were called to the upper school hall, where they were given the news that a “crime” had been committed late Friday evening. During the Assembly, Mrs Wall conveyed her upset that the schools special trophies had been taken and asked pupils if they could help her solve the crime.
In assembly pupils watched and examined CCTV footage and a list of 10 suspects as part 1 of this investigation to find the missing trophies.
Pupils have been set the task, by Mrs Wall, of being crime scene investigators. Their task is to find the culprit using mathematical skills and knowledge.
Throughout this week pupils will embark on a crime scene investigation to seek and eliminate the suspects. They will be required to measure, look at directions, analyse, discuss, predict and come up with facts and a culprit within 5 days. No police action is required at this stage, as the pupils of Harlow Fields are eager to prove they’ve got what it takes to solve the mystery.
